Andrey Gritsman is a poet, essayist, and editor of the international poetry journal "Interpoetry." He was born on February 26, 1947, in Moscow, Russia, into a family of renowned doctors. Gritsman graduated from the First Moscow Medical Institute named after Sechenov and obtained a candidate of medical sciences degree. In 1981, he emigrated to the United States and currently lives and works in New York. Gritsman completed the literary faculty program at the University of Vermont in 1998, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in American poetry.
