Roman Yaremchuk began his football career in the youth academies of UFK Lviv and Sokol-Rukh Lviv. In 2008, he joined the reserve team of FC Zorya Luhansk.

During the 2008/09 season, Yaremchuk made 30 appearances for Zorya's reserve team, scoring 6 goals. On August 8, 2009, he made his debut for the senior team in a Premier League match against FC Karpaty Lviv, which Zorya won 4-0.
