Early Life and Career

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Andriy Konushenko began his football career at a young age. His first professional club was FC Nyva-Kosmos Myronivka, before moving to FC Obolon Kyiv.

Metallurg Zaporizhzhia and Shakhtar Donetsk

In 1998, Konushenko joined Metallurg Zaporizhzhia, which competed in the Ukrainian Premier League. In February 2001, he signed with FC Shakhtar Donetsk, making his debut on March 11th against FC Vorskla Poltava. During his time at Shakhtar, he played in two UEFA Champions League matches during the 2001/02 season.

Loans and Club Transfers

In March 2003, Konushenko was loaned to FC Volyn Lutsk for six months. He reached the semifinals of the 2002/03 Ukrainian Cup. After his loan spell, he transferred to FC Illichivets Mariupol in the summer of 2003, where he participated in the UEFA Cup during the 2004/05 season. In 2007/08, he played for FC Zorya Luhansk.

Metalist Kharkiv and Later Career

In the summer of 2008, Konushenko joined Metalist Kharkiv as a free agent, taking on the number 2 shirt. He played for Metalist until the second half of the 2012/2013 season, when he moved to FC Poltava. However, his contract with Poltava was later terminated.
