Andrey Korf: A Versatile Artist and Literary Laureate
Andrey Korf is a renowned Russian writer, poet, journalist, composer, and performer. Born Andrey Olegievich Naymanov in 1964 in Kharkiv, he adopted the pseudonym "Andrey Korf."
Early Life and Medical Career
Korh obtained his medical degree from the Second Moscow Medical Institute and worked as a pediatrician in the emergency department for three years. His passion for travel took him on an autostop adventure around the Adriatic coast, where he earned his way by playing guitar and singing in local towns.
Transition to the Arts
After his travels, Korf's calling shifted from medicine to the arts. He ventured into the advertising business, establishing his own firm. However, his love of literature and music ultimately led him to leave his successful career behind.
Literary and Musical Recognition
Korh's literary debut came in 1987 with the publication of his poetry in the self-published almanac "Etap." His poems were later featured in the Parisian anthology "Muleta" (1989) and the anthology "Samizdat Veka." In 1998, his poetry appeared in the inaugural edition of the Russian haiku almanac "Triton."
Korh's musical talent blossomed alongside his writing. He composes music for his own lyrics, playing the guitar, flute, and piano. He is a graduate of the Moskvorechye Jazz School. His repertoire boasts over 200 songs spanning various musical genres.
Erotic Etüdes
In 1988, Korf created the erotic etude series "Sto Oskolkov Odnogo Chuvstva," which received third place in the "Personal Literary Page" category of the "Tenet" network competition. These vignettes were later published as individual collections of short stories between 1999 and 2003, totaling 52 etudes.
Festival Laureate
Korh's literary prowess has been recognized at prestigious festivals. He is a laureate of the 2010 "Petersburg Accord" Festival and the 37th Grushinsky Festival. His play "Port Pyati Morey" (Port of Five Seas) further showcased his artistry.
