If Martirosyan had known what he would have to go through, he admits that he probably would not have agreed to lead the airline company. His first day at work is etched in his memory when he had to find a solution for how to accommodate 160 passengers who had spent three days stranded at the airport. According to the flight schedule, five Tu-154 aircraft were needed, but there were only two that were operational. Martirosyan credits his unwavering confidence in the potential of "Tyumenaviatrans" for saving the day, as he worked tirelessly for 25 hours a day to tap into the hidden strengths of the organization.

Currently, UTair is one of the top five leaders in the Russian aviation market and the world's largest helicopter operator.

Andrey Martirosyan graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kiev State University with a degree in law. He joined OAO "Tyumenaviatrans" ("UTair") in 1999 as the CEO. In 2003, he became a member of the Board of Directors of "DAL" and also served as the CEO of OAO "Domodedovo Airlines." Prior to his leadership roles, Martirosyan was the director of "Surgutavia," a subsidiary of OAO "Tyumenaviatrans" from 1996 to 1999. He started his career in 1990 as the head of the personnel and legal department of the Tazovskiy Unified Aviation Team, and later became the deputy director of the Tazovskiy branch of the airline company.

His wife is a former flight attendant.
