Belarusian Diplomat
Early Life and EducationBorn on April 25, 1972, in Minsk, Belarus, the distinguished diplomat graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University in 1994 with a degree in International Economic Relations. He further pursued his education at the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, earning a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy in 2004.
Diplomatic Career
Ministry of Foreign AffairsMolchan commenced his diplomatic career in 1994 as a leading specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of Belarus.
Permanent Mission to the UN and International Organizations
In 1997, he joined the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva as a Second Secretary. From 2003 to 2006, he served as an advisor and head of the Department of Bilateral Economic Agreements within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus
In 2008, Molchan was appointed Deputy Head of the Foreign Policy Department in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Ambassador to South Africa
From 2011 to 2017, he held the prestigious position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa, with concurrent accreditation to Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Namibia.
Department of Tourism
In 2018, Molchan returned to Belarus and became the Director of the Department of Tourism within the Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
Ambassador to Venezuela
On June 25, 2020, Molchan was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In addition to his native Belarusian, Molchan is fluent in English and French. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
