Born in Magnitogorsk, 1961Andrey Torgashev was born on July 11, 1961, in the city of Magnitogorsk.
Family Background
Engineer ParentsHis father, Vasily Alexandrovich Torgashev, was an engineer who worked for over 40 years at the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant. His mother, Maria Mikhailovna Petrichko, also worked as an engineer at the same plant for nearly 50 years.
Interest in Science, Arts, and Sports
Multifaceted InterestsDespite attending a physics and mathematics school, Andrey developed a keen interest in biology, electronics, and music. He played guitar in a school band and excelled in swimming, becoming a candidate for Master of Sports.
