Andrey Valyuk (born March 28, 1974, in Grodno, Belarus) is a Soviet and Belarusian checkers player specializing in 64-square checkers. He is a multiple winner of international and republican checkers tournaments and has represented Belarus in numerous world and European championships.

Early Life and Career

Valyuk began playing checkers in 1984 under the tutelage of Rinat Shakirov. In 1987, he became a candidate master, followed by a master of sports in 1989. He achieved the rank of international master of sports in 1993 and international grandmaster in 1997. Valyuk was also awarded the title of master of sports of international class in 2012.

World and European Championships

Valyuk has participated in 16 world championships, achieving his best results with:
