Early Life and Education

The Soviet party and state leader was born and raised in the Soviet Union. He graduated from the Saratov Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, receiving a degree in agricultural engineering.

Military Service

From 1941 to 1946, he served in the Red Army, contributing to the war effort during World War II.

Early Career

After the war, from 1946 to 1947, he worked as a senior foreman at a vocational school and as a deputy director of a machine and tractor station, overseeing its political affairs.

Political Career

In 1947, the leader began his political career. From 1962 to 1965, he served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vologda Regional Council.

National Appointments

In 1966, the leader was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR) for Production and Technical Support of Agriculture.

Parliamentary Service
