Early Life and Art Education
Born into an Artistic FamilyAndrian Pavlovych Babyuk was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1960 to a family of artists: Pavlo Ivanovych Babyuk, a painter and restorer, and Valentina Nikiforovna Kryuchkova. His sister, Natasha Babyuk, a theatrical artist, played a significant role in his upbringing.
Early Artistic Influence
Babyuk's sister prepared him for admission to the Republican Art School named after T.G. Shevchenko, where he studied from 1970 to 1978 alongside renowned artists such as Borys Krasnov, Katya Korneichuk, and Mikhail Nikolaev. He also studied under the guidance of Victor Zaretsky and Oleksandr Titov.
Higher Education and Military Service
Admission to the Art InstituteIn 1980, Babyuk enrolled in the Kyiv State Art Institute named after T.G. Shevchenko. During his final year, he married Lyudmila Rychkalov, a fellow artist. The couple has two children: Vsevolod Babyuk, a sculptor, and Taysya Babyuk.
Military Service
From 1987 to 1989, Babyuk served in the Soviet Army.Teaching and Animation Career
Art Education
From 1989 to 1997, Babyuk taught drawing and painting at the Kyiv College of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design. From 1998 to 2002, he held a teaching position at the Institute of Postgraduate Education, imparting knowledge in drawing, painting, and composition.
Animation
From 1997 to 1998, Babyuk worked as an animation artist at the "Borysthenes" film studio, where he earned the title of animation artist.
Later Teaching and University Lectureships
Institute of AdvertisingFrom 2002 to 2010, Babyuk taught painting and drawing at the Institute of Advertising and held the position of acting associate professor.
Poplavsky University
From 2010 to 2018, he taught computer graphics, drawing, painting, and other art disciplines at Poplavsky University.
Art School No. 1
Since 2018, Babyuk has been teaching at Art School No. 1. His students include several renowned Ukrainian and international artists, such as Alina Maksymenko, Victoria Gankina, Vladimir Selivanov, and Oksana Ruban.
Artistic Output and Exhibitions
Diverse Artistic InterestsBabyuk has a vast artistic repertoire, including book illustrations, monumental painting, easel painting, portraits, landscapes, still lifes, group portraits, sculptures, and animation. Currently, he focuses on "Nude," landscape, and portraiture.
Techniques
He utilizes various techniques, such as watercolor, acrylic, oil, dry and oil pastels, gouache, tempera, linocut, and Chinese ink in the "wash" technique. He also incorporates colored felt-tip pens in his sketches and underpaintings.

European Museum Excursions
For 10 years, Babyuk led groups of children and adults on tours of museums in Europe, resulting in the publication of his book "Eternity Will Come Tomorrow."

Babyuk is currently writing a book on compositional schemes and color science.
