Early Life and Education

Born on August 28, 1965, in Kluczbork, Poland, Andrzej Buła is a renowned sportsman, teacher, and politician. He obtained a pedagogical degree from the Wroclaw Academy of Physical Education in 1989, specializing in coaching. He went on to earn a master's degree in physical education and completed doctoral studies at the Eugene Piasecki Academy of Physical Education in Poznan. Additionally, he obtained an MBA from the Wroclaw University of Economics.

Career in Sports and Education

Buła has dedicated much of his life to sports and education. He worked as a physical education teacher at the secondary school in his hometown, Kluczbork. In 2003, he became the director of the local Sports Centre.

Political Trajectory

In 2006, Buła embarked on a political career, being elected as a member of the Opole Voivodeship Assembly from the Civic Platform. He was elected to the 6th and 7th terms of the Polish Parliament in 2007 and 2011, respectively.

Marszałek of Opole Voivodeship

In November 2013, Buła was elected as the Marshal (Governor) of the Opole Voivodeship. He has been re-elected to this position in 2014 and 2018. As the Marshal, he is responsible for the overall administration and development of the region.

Unsuccessful Bid for European Parliament

In 2019, Buła ran for a seat in the European Parliament but was ultimately unsuccessful in his bid.
