Early Life and Career

Sholak Artygaliyevwas a prominent party official in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (KazSSR). After graduating from the Orenburg Educational Institution, he began his career as an instructor and informer for the Ural Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan (CPK) in 1938.

Communist Party Leadership

From 1940 to 1942, Artygaliyev served as the First Secretary of the Dzhanibesk District Committee of the Ural Regional Committee of the CPK. Following this, he became the Secretary of the West Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the CPK from 1942 to 1943.

In 1943, Artygaliyev enrolled in the Higher Party School in Moscow, where he studied until 1945. Upon his return, he worked as the Second Secretary of the Taldy-Kurgan Regional Committee of the CPK from 1945 to 1950.

Ascendancy in the Party

From 1950 to 1951, Artygaliyev became the First Secretary of the Taldy-Kurgan Regional Committee of the CPK. In 1951, he attended the one-year courses for first secretaries of regional party committees at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in Moscow.

From 1952 to 1958, Artygaliyev held the post of First Secretary of the Dzhambul Regional Committee of the CPK. In 1958, he was elected First Secretary of the Council of Trade Unions of the KazSSR, a position he held until 1962.

Trade Union Leadership

From 1962 to 1971, Artygaliyev served as Chairman of the Alma-Ata Council of Trade Unions. Subsequently, he became Deputy Chairman for Cadres of the Alma-Ata Council of Trade Unions from 1971 to 1975.

In 1975, Artygaliyev was appointed Senior Instructor of the Organizational Department of the Alma-Ata Council of Trade Unions. He retired in 1976.

Recognition and Awards

Artygaliyev attended several central party congresses, including the 20th Congress of the CPSU. He was also elected as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR.

Throughout his career, Artygaliyev received numerous state awards: three Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Badge of Honor, the Order of the Red Star, and eight medals.
