Angela Hucles, a professional football player, was born on July 5, 1975 in Virginia Beach, USA. She comes from a family with a strong passion for football, which has become their family affair. Her younger brother, Phil, is the leader of the men's football team at William & Mary College, while her father is a referee and her mother is a psychology professor at Old Dominion University. Her mother provides her with constant psychological support, allowing her to excel under the pressures placed on her.
Early Years and Football Career
Angela Hucles never dreamt of a football career. When she was 7 years old, her mother enrolled her in a local football section, as she already possessed excellent physical characteristics and a determined character. Alongside football, Hucles also trained in a swim team, but she ultimately decided that spending time in cold water was not for her, and she made the final choice to pursue football.
Over the years, Angela Hucles noticeably improved her football skills and became one of the key players in her team. After finishing high school, she decided to attend Norfolk Academy. By that time, she had already established herself as a main forward. Additionally, she participated in the national project "U.S. Soccer's Olympic Development Program".
University Years and Olympic Success
At the university, Angela Hucles honed her football skills as she competed for a leading position in a highly competitive team. In 2002, she secured a spot as a substitute in the "North All-Star Team" and showcased her talent by scoring three spectacular goals.
In 2008, Angela Hucles participated in the Beijing Olympics as a valuable player for the US women's football team. She received a higher education degree in anthropology and also wrote a sports column for the "Boston Metro" newspaper.
In her free time from training, Angela Hucles enjoys spending time with friends and is skilled at playing the guitar. Together with her teammates from the "WUSA" team, she formed a music group.
