Professional Footballer and National Team Striker

Salomón Rondón is a Venezuelan professional footballer currently playing as a striker for Kazan Rubin in the Russian Premier League. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he began his football career at the age of 17 with Aragua.

Early Career and European Debut

Rondón's debut match was on October 8, 2006, and he scored his first goal on April 8, 2007. In the summer of 2008, he joined Spanish club UD Las Palmas, making his debut on August 16 in a friendly against FC Barcelona B. His official debut for the team came on October 4 of the same year. Rondón scored his first goal for Las Palmas on September 2, 2009, becoming the youngest foreign player ever to score for the club.

Move to Malaga and La Liga Record

On July 19, 2010, Rondón transferred to Malaga for a fee of €3.5 million. He scored his first goal for the club two months later, helping to secure the team's survival in the top flight. On May 1, 2011, he became the first Venezuelan player to score 13 goals in a season for a Spanish top-flight team. Despite a strong season, Rondón began the 2011-2012 season on the bench but still finished as the club's top scorer, even ahead of the legendary Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Kazan Rubin and Record-Breaking Fee

In August 2012, Rondón signed with Kazan Rubin for a then-record fee for a Venezuelan player of €10 million. He made his debut on August 12 against Dynamo Moscow and scored his first goal on September 1 against Terek Grozny. Rondón also made his UEFA Europa League debut against Inter Milan, scoring a goal to secure a draw. He scored another goal in the second leg against Inter Milan with just three minutes remaining. In 2013, Rondón scored a hat-trick against Ural, helping his team to a 3-0 victory.

International Career

Rondón made his debut for the Venezuelan national team in 2008 at the age of 18. He scored his first international goal on March 23, 2008, against El Salvador, securing a 1-0 win for his team. In 2009, he represented Venezuela at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt, where he and teammate Yonathan del Valle each scored three goals in a match against Tahiti, helping their side reach the Round of 16.
