Angel Conwell: A Life of Spotlight and Service
Early Life and Modeling CareerAngel Conwell was born on August 2, 1983, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. At the age of two, her family relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. Conwell attended Seven Oaks Elementary School, where she made history as the school's first African American student body president. Her passion for public service extended beyond her education, as she often woke up at 4:30 AM to assist in preparing breakfasts for a local homeless shelter.
Conwell's natural charisma and stage presence drew her to the world of modeling. By 1994, she had signed with the children's division of Wilhelmenia Models and enjoyed success in numerous fashion shows, print advertisements, and commercials.
Breakthrough Role in "Dave's World"
In search of greater opportunities, Conwell and her mother moved to Los Angeles in 1994. Shortly after, she landed a role in the CBS pilot "On Our Own," featuring the hip-hop trio Salt & Pepa. When the pilot failed to gain traction, CBS cast Conwell in the sitcom "Dave's World," where she played a recurring character. This role catapulted her to prominence on the small screen.
Success in Film and Television
Following her success in "Dave's World," Conwell went on to star as Andrea, Raven's Parisian cousin, in the Disney Channel sitcom "That's So Raven." She also appeared in the racially charged drama "N.Y.P.D." before making her cinematic debut in John Singleton's "Baby Boy," where she portrayed Omar Gooding's loyal and resentful girlfriend, Kim.
Conwell's versatility was further showcased in the comedy film "The Wash," where she co-starred with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. She returned to school on-screen in "What About Your Friends" alongside Keisha Knight Pulliam and Louis Gossett Jr. and brought a playful spark to the comedy "Soul Plane" as one of three flight attendants.
Current Endeavors
Conwell continues to pursue her acting and modeling careers, with two independent films currently in production. She also plans to launch a solo music career, collaborating with renowned producers.

Conwell resides in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, Omar Gooding, and their beloved pit bull, Xena.
