Biography of Angelika Rudnitskaya

Angelika Rudnitskaya is a television presenter, journalist, singer, artist, and the vice-president of the creative agency "Territory A." She is also the chief editor of programs on the First National Television Channel of Ukraine and a member of the Public Foundation of Saint Andrew the Apostle. In addition, Rudnitskaya is a distinguished artist of Ukraine.
Early Life and Education

Angelika Rudnitskaya was born on June 11, 1970, in Rovno, Ukraine. She comes from a family of Volhynian intellectuals, with her father being a writer and journalist (a former opera singer) and her mother being an educator. During her school years, Rudnitskaya sang and played keyboards in a self-made VIA (Vocal Instrumental Ensemble).
After completing her secondary education, Rudnitskaya enrolled in the Faculty of Journalism at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1987. She was one of the participants in the student hunger strike called the "Revolution on Granite," which involved 52 students.
Professional Career

Rudnitskaya joined the scientific and educational program department of the Ukrainian Television Channel in April 1992. In November 1994, she co-founded the artistic agency "Territory A" with poet Alexander Brigintsa (Territory of Angelika). Starting from April 1995, she hosted her own weekly program called "Mistetsky Channel Territory A" on the ICTV channel, which later transformed into the daily "Hit Parade of Territory A," with over 1,500 episodes produced in five years.
Despite offers from prominent Ukrainian producers to pursue a solo singing career, Rudnitskaya initially declined such opportunities. However, in 1998, she recorded her first song, "U sudby svoya vesna," a duet with her sister Inna, during the Belonozhko Family Festival "Melody of Two Hearts." In 1999, she recorded two more songs, and the same year she was awarded the title of Distinguished Artist of Ukraine.
Rudnitskaya officially launched her solo singing career with the maxi-single "Chudo," a collaboration with Viktor Pavlik, and the solo album "Igrushka." She also pursued a Ph.D. at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
In 2002, Rudnitskaya released her first full-length album, "Bud' so mnoy" (NAC), followed by "anzhelika.ru" (JRC) in 2003 (reissued as "L'Amour" in Russia in the summer of 2004). She also began recording the French-language album "Serdce Angela" during this time.
In 2004, Rudnitskaya was paralyzed after an exhausting spring tour, and she spent six months immobile. During her illness, she created a series of graphic works called "Nezrimy koren," which were exhibited in a solo art exhibition in the summer of 2005.
By the end of 2004, she made her first appearance after the illness, and in February 2005, she resumed her singing career by becoming one of the 30 contenders to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. In the summer of 2005, Rudnitskaya revived the "Hit Parade of Territory A" on UT-1, supported by an internet portal.
Her next solo album, "Naidi menya," was released in the spring of 2006, featuring significant additional multimedia content. In the summer of 2009, Rudnitskaya published a romantic novel titled "Strastnaya trassa k schastyu" (The Passionate Road to Happiness).
Throughout her career, Rudnitskaya has received several honors, including the Order of St. Stanislaus V degree (2003) and the Order of Princess Olga III degree (2009).
