Early Life and Education

Anne Cusack was born on May 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Her mother, Nancy Cusack, and father, Richard Cusack, were working-class parents. She grew up in a family of five children, including two younger brothers, Bill Cusack and John Cusack, and two younger sisters, Joan Cusack and Susie Cusack, who also became actors. Anne grew up in Evanston and was the first to start her career as the eldest of the five siblings.

At the age of nine, Anne began attending seminars on history and improvisation at the renowned local theater "Piven Theater & Workshop," under the guidance of Joyce and Byrne Piven. As a charming brunette, she continued to develop her improvisational and other acting skills in New York. She first enrolled in Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where her mentor was David Mamet, and later at "Circle in the Square." After completing her training, she returned to her hometown of Chicago, where she joined the artistic staff of the Goodman Theatre. She soon received invitations to join "The Dance Place" in Washington, D.C.

Acting and Singing Career

Anne Cusack is not only a wonderful actress but also a singer. She has a beautiful and delicate voice, and her friends always ask her to sing something for them when they meet in a group. In the 1980s, Anne traveled to the Midwest and joined an a cappella singing group. The group frequently toured across the United States, performing concerts and shows.

Starting in 1992, Anne Cusack began appearing in low-budget TV series and movies. She landed her first role in 1992 in the film "Their Own League." This was followed by a series of small episodic roles in TV series and movies. From 1994, Anne started to appear more frequently in mainstream cinema. She starred in the comedy "Man of the Renaissance" alongside Danny DeVito, the thriller "To Die For" with Nicole Kidman and Alec Baldwin, the sci-fi comedy "Tank Girl," the comedy "My Fellow Americans," and the comedy "The Birdcage" with Robin Williams and Gene Hackman. In 1997, the comedy-thriller "Grosse Pointe Blank" was released, where Anne shared the screen with her brothers John and Bill, and her sister Joan.

Anne Cusack continues to act and is currently working on her new musical album. Her latest work includes the role of Melissa Ventura in the comedy film "Ace Ventura Jr."
