Biography of Anna Yanovskaya
Anna Yanovskaya was born on July 18, 1974, in Nikolaev, Ukraine. She graduated from the acting course at the directing department of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS), under the guidance of M. Zakharov. Currently, she is an actress at the Moscow Art Theatre of Youth (MTYuZ).
Throughout her career, Yanovskaya has collaborated with various theaters, including the Satirikon Theatre, the Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya, A. Vasiliev's School of Dramatic Art Theatre, and the Anton Chekhov Theatre.
Yanovskaya has been honored with several awards, including prizes from the Festival of Comedy Films for "Best Female Role," the FIPRESCI at the Berlin International Film Festival, and the Liki Lyubvi Festival.
She has appeared in numerous films and TV series, including "Pod nebom golubym," "Osenneye soblazny," "Veter v gorode," "Novogodnyaya istoriya," "Stringer," "U Boga za pazukhoi," "Dossier of Detective Dubrovsky - D.D.D.," "Redaktsiya," "Khozyain Imperii," "Dalniy svet," "Bolshie devushki," "Nakanune oseni," "Greh," and "Inoe," among others.
In the TV series "Serdtsedki," Yanovskaya portrays the character of Polina Ryabova, a 27-30-year-old woman. Polina is a fictitious wife of Maxim and a journalist for the Eastern District newspaper. Despite her intelligence and successful completion of journalism studies, she struggles to find her place in the capital's journalism field. Polina often falls into depression, using shopping as a remedy. She constantly finds herself in debt due to her passion for endless shopping.
In the series, Polina becomes involved in Sonya's scheme and must pretend to be Maxim's wife, which unexpectedly awakens true feelings in her. Polina is a funny and touching character with a romantic side. She is driven by the desire for personal happiness and a place in the sun. However, she finds herself in a company of individuals who are, in a sense, failures and are searching for their own place in the world.
Yanovskaya mentions that the series "Serdtsedki" can be considered a "comedy of failures." The characters attempt to escape their financial problems, each with their own family and personal history. The adventure they embark on takes them away from their ordinary lives, and they begin to live a false life that intertwines with their real lives, leading to changes in their perspectives and relationships.
Yanovskaya values her partnership with her co-star Yan Tsapnik, who portrays the character of Maxim. She emphasizes the importance of having good partners in acting, and their collaboration has enhanced her enjoyment of working together.
Aside from her acting career, Yanovskaya considers herself an adventurous person. She recalls various personal adventures, including flying without a ticket on a plane with a friend during the tumultuous 90s. Although she describes herself as a quiet and non-confrontational person, she admits to occasionally pretending to be someone else when feeling bored or when a situation requires it.
Overall, Anna Yanovskaya's career as an actress has been marked by her notable performances and recognition in the industry. She continues to captivate audiences with her diverse roles and dedication to her craft.
