Biography of Anna Maria Jopek
Anna Maria Jopek is a Polish singer, musician, and producer. She is best known as the official representative of Poland at the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest. Anna was born into a musical family, with her father, Stanisław Jopek, being a member of the folk group "Mazowsze" and known as the "First Coachman of Poland". Her mother, Maria Stankiewicz, specialized in dance. Anna's sister, Patrycja, is also a musician who plays the violin.
Education and Career
Anna Jopek received her education at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she completed her studies in piano in 1994. She then continued her education at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, focusing on jazz music.
In 1997, Anna represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Ale Jestem". She placed 11th out of 25 participants. In 1999, she once again represented Poland, this time at the Olympic Conference in Seoul.
In 2002, Jopek collaborated with jazz guitarist Pat Metheny on a joint album. She released her album "ID" in 2007, featuring collaborations with notable musicians such as Mino Cinelu, Christian McBride, Richard Bona, Branford Marsalis, Dhafer Youssef, Tord Gustavsen, and Oscar Castro-Neves.

Anna Maria Jopek is married to Marcin Kydryński, a music journalist, photographer, and guitarist. They have two sons, Franciszek and Stanisław.
Jopek continues to perform and release albums to this day. Her latest studio albums, "Polanna," "Haiku," and "Sobremesa," were released in 2011.
