Early Life and Debut

Dominique Borg was a French actress, dancer, and choreographer of Russian descent. She made her film debut in 1951 in Yves Champy's "The Perfectionist."

Film Career

Over the next decade, Borg appeared in several films, including Marcel Carné's "The Waste Land" (1960), which became her most notable role. She retired from film acting after 1970.

Theater and Dance

After retiring from film, Borg focused on theater and dance. In 1969, she founded an influential contemporary dance troupe with Joseph Russillo. From 1976, she directed the dance theater in Boulogne-Billancourt.

In 1982, she collaborated with pianist Setrak in a production of Francis Poulenc's monoopera "The Human Voice." She also worked with theater director Antoine Vitez.

Family

Dominique Borg's daughter, Béatrice Borg, is a renowned French costume designer.
