Early Career and Move to Udinese

Antonio Candrèva began his footballing journey with Lodgiani before joining Serie C1 club Ternana. Despite only making two appearances, his potential caught the attention of top Italian clubs. In 2007, he signed for Udinese, initially playing for their youth team and making three appearances for the senior side.

Loan Spells to Livorno and Juventus

Ahead of the 2008/09 season, Candrèva was loaned to Livorno. He had a successful season in Tuscany, playing regularly and helping the club earn promotion to Serie A. Livorno extended his loan for another year due to his impressive performances.

On January 20, 2010, Juventus acquired Candrèva on loan for six months, with an option to make the move permanent for €6.5 million. Livorno received a compensation fee of €600,000. Candrèva made his Juventus debut against Roma, but the match ended in a 1-2 defeat.

Loan to Parma and International Debut

On August 30, 2010, Candrèva joined Parma on a season-long loan with a purchase option. On November 14, 2009, he made his international debut for Italy in a friendly against the Netherlands.
