Biography of Marco Reus
Marco Reus, a German footballer, currently plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for the German club 'Borussia Dortmund' and the German national football team. At the age of 25, he has emerged as one of the most talented players in the country, scoring nearly 90 goals in 244 matches. He was named the Best German Footballer of 2012 and was included in the UEFA Team of the Year in the following year. In the 2014 season, he became the leader in the Bundesliga for assists.

Early Life and Career
Marco Reus was born on May 31, 1989, in Dortmund, Germany. He developed a passion for football at a young age and joined the local team 'Post SV Dortmund' in 1994. In 1996, he caught the attention of scouts from 'Borussia Dortmund', the main and most renowned club in Dortmund. Reus trained under the club's coaching staff for 10 years and also helped the youth national teams conquer the German youth league.

In 2006, Reus was sent to the youth team of 'Rot Weiss Ahlen' where he spent the next three years. After only six matches in the second team, he was promoted to the first team, representing the club in 44 matches. In the 2009 season, at the age of 19, Reus played in 27 matches and scored four beautiful goals, showcasing his talent to German fans. This achievement opened up numerous opportunities for him both in German clubs and abroad.
Professional Career
Deciding to stay in Germany, Reus moved to 'Borussia Mönchengladbach'. Over the course of three seasons with the new team, he not only blossomed as a player but also acquired the skills and qualities needed to become the next big star for Germany on the international stage. In 99 matches for the club, Reus scored 37 goals and provided numerous assists for his teammates.
It was no surprise when Reus returned to 'Borussia Dortmund'. After his success with 'Borussia Mönchengladbach', it was clear that only two German teams would try to acquire him: 'Borussia Dortmund' and their main rival, 'FC Bayern Munich'. As many had predicted, Reus chose the club where he had spent 10 years at the beginning of his career. Currently, Reus is one of the most prolific players for 'Borussia Dortmund', scoring 30 goals in 62 games.
International Career
Reus made his debut for the German national team in 2011 and has scored 7 goals in 21 matches. However, he was forced to miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil due to a knee injury sustained in a friendly match. Despite his absence, his teammate and friend, Mario Götze, who scored the winning goal in the final, displayed Reus' shirt number during the celebrations, emphasizing his inclusion as part of the team. Reus later admitted that he almost cried when he saw Götze with his shirt immediately after the final whistle. Götze reminded journalists that every player, even those who are injured, is an integral part of the team and deserves to be included in the list of winners. Thanks to Götze's gesture, Reus became the unofficial world champion without even being in the squad.
Marco Reus continues to be a key player for both 'Borussia Dortmund' and the German national team, forming a unique and unbeatable partnership with Mario Götze.
