Ara Hakobyan: Armenian Football Star

Ara Hakobyan is an Armenian footballer who began his career with the "Malatia" football school. In 2001, he made his debut for the "Malatia" club in the First League championship. After the season, the club disbanded, and Hakobyan joined the Premier League club "Banants."

Success with Banants

With Banants, Hakobyan's skills continued to develop, and he became a valuable member of the team. Over the years, he won three Armenian Silver Medals and an Armenian Football Cup.

International Recognition

In 2007, after winning the cup and the silver medal in the championship, Hakobyan received an offer from the Ukrainian club "Metallurg Donetsk." He also received offers from clubs in Germany and Belgium but ultimately signed with Metallurg in 2008.

Return to Armenia

Despite his time in Ukraine, Hakobyan did not fully establish himself in the Metallurg squad. In 2010, he returned to Banants on loan and eventually signed a one-season contract.

International Duty

Hakobyan made his international debut for Armenia in 2005 in a friendly match against Kuwait. He represented the Armenian national team on numerous occasions, including in the youth and main squads.

Later Career

After returning to Banants, Hakobyan played half a season before signing a one-year contract with the Iranian club "Mes" from Kerman. In 2011, he ended his contract with Banants and moved to Iran by mutual agreement.
