Ariana Grande, an American model, actress, and singer, is best known for her role as the sensitive "drama queen" Catherine 'Cat' Valentine in the American sitcom "Victorious" about the life of aspiring singer Tori Vega.

Early Life

Ariana Grande was born on June 26, 1993, in Boca Raton, Florida. She grew up in a small town on the eastern coast of the state. Her older brother, Frankie Grande, is an actor and producer. Ariana received vocal training from Eric Vetro and began performing in the youth theater of Boca Raton, called Little Palm Theatre, at a young age.

Early Career

In 2008, Grande played the role of Charlotte in the Broadway musical "13" by Jason Robert Brown, for which she received an award from the National Youth Theatre Association. Her involvement in the musical led her to leave North Broward Preparatory School, although she continued to be enrolled there. She was provided with educational materials and continued her studies with private tutors.

Grande later played the role of Miriam in the first reading of the new musical "Cuba Libre," composed by Desmond Child. She also participated in the project "Broadway in South Africa" where she taught music and dance to children from South Africa.

Rise to Fame

In 2009, Grande landed the role of Cat Valentine in the comedy youth television series "Victorious," created by Dan Schneider and aired on Nickelodeon. She also performed at the New York nightclub "Birdland" in 2009 and 2010 alongside Colleen Ballinger, known as "Miranda Sings" on the internet. Additionally, in 2010, Grande appeared on the game show "BrainSurge" and attended the "2010 Kids' Choice Awards" ceremony.
