Early Life and Inspiration

Ariel Wasserman was born in Woodbridge, Virginia. At the age of 14, watching the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show ignited her passion for fashion and modeling.

Identity and Transition to Miami

At 17, she moved to Miami, which she referred to as a "trans mecca." While attending the Art Institute of Miami, she encountered the concept of transgenderism through conversations with strangers in gay nightclubs. At 19, she came out to her mother as transgender and received her support and acceptance.

Career in Modeling and Performing

For four years, Wasserman performed with a drag troupe and graced Miami Fashion Week runways. She became the first trans model to grace the cover of Spiegel magazine. She went on to model for numerous publications, including Elle, Vogue, Vogue Italia, Forbes, and Purple, working with renowned photographers like Patrick Demarchelier. She also modeled for brands like Topshop and Opening Ceremony.

Success as a Transgender Model

Wasserman's visibility as a transgender model contributed to breaking down barriers and increasing representation. She appeared on the Oxygen reality show Strut, which featured transgender models, and became a long-standing spokesperson for AT&T.

Involvement in Pride and Acting Career

In 2019, she graced the red carpet at L.A. Pride and subsequently auditioned for the Amazon series Pride: The Series. Her involvement in the entertainment industry reflects her commitment to representing the transgender community and promoting inclusion.
