Early Life and Education
Born on January 22, 1965 in Yerevan, Armenia, the Head of the Customs Committee under the Government of Armenia embarked on his education in 1985 at the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. In 1999, he graduated from the St. Petersburg Institute of International Economic Relations, Economics, and Law.
Career in the Tax and Security Forces
Following his graduation in 1990, he joined the tax inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia and the Republican Tax Inspectorate, where he held positions ranging from inspector to head of department. In 1997, he became the head of the department in the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Security of Armenia.
Transition to the Ministry of National Security
In 1999, he joined the Ministry of National Security of Armenia as head of a department. His tenure in this role lasted until 2001, when he was appointed Head of the Customs Committee under the Government of Armenia.
Achievements
Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including becoming a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2002) and the International Academy of Educational Sciences (2002). He has also attained the rank of Major General.
