Armen Yeritsyan - Armenian Political Figure and Major General of Police
Armen Yeritsyan was an Armenian political figure and major general of police. He was born on December 25, 1960, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR. Yeritsyan graduated from the Volgograd Higher Police Investigation School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1990. He completed his postgraduate studies at Yerevan State University in 1996 and his doctoral studies at the Academy of Management under the President of the Russian Federation in 1999.
Career and Contributions
Yeritsyan began his career as a patrol officer from 1982 to 1984. He later served as an inspector in the licensing system from 1986 to 1990. In addition to his police work, Yeritsyan also engaged in teaching activities, teaching the theory of state and law at the Acharian University, the French University of Yerevan, and the Yerevan branch of the Moscow New Law Institute.
Yeritsyan is the author of seven monographs, three collections of international regulatory legal acts, and over 35 scientific articles. He has made significant contributions to the field of law and has received numerous awards and recognition for his service. He served as the chief of the main department for combating organized crime of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs from 1999 to 2001. Since 2001, he has held the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
Awards and Memberships
Throughout his career, Yeritsyan has been honored with the medals "For Impeccable Service" of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees, the "For Courage" medal in 2000, and medals from other countries. He is a member of the Legal Council of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs since 1996 and an academician of the International Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies since 2002.
