Araik Dashyan, Armenian Football Star
Early Career and Rise to ProminenceAraik Dashyan, an Armenian footballer, began his journey at the "Shengaвит" football school. In 2006, he joined "Banants" and debuted in the Armenian Championship in 2007. His exceptional skills caught the attention of Banants' head coach and later the national team coach.
Disciplinary Incident and Transfer to Donetsk
In 2009, Dashyan's career was marked by an incident in a Banants match against "Shirak," where he insulted the referee and was subsequently disqualified for four matches.
After a successful trial at "Metalurh Donetsk," where his former coach from Banants, Nikolay Kostov, was manager, Dashyan signed a three-year contract with a potential two-year extension. However, limited playing time led to Dashyan being loaned back to Banants.
Club Captaincy and International Success
With the retirement of former captain Artur Voskanyan, Dashyan rose to become Banants' vice-captain under Arsen Balabanyan. Balabanyan's departure at the end of the season made Dashyan the undisputed captain.
Dashyan made his international debut for Armenia in 2009 against Latvia. He has since represented his country in numerous matches.
