Biography of Paulo Dybala
Early Life and Career
Paulo Dybala is an Argentine footballer who plays as a forward for the Italian club, Juventus, and the Argentine national team. Dybala's grandfather is of Polish descent, and many of his relatives have Italian roots. He began his career in the youth team of the local club, Newell's Old Boys Laguna-Larga, before joining the youth team of Instituto, a second division Argentine club, at the age of 10. At the age of 15, Dybala's father passed away, which motivated him to pursue a career as a professional footballer. On August 12, 2011, he made his debut for Instituto's first team in a match against Huracan. A week later, he scored his first goal in a match against Aldosivi. During his time at Instituto, Dybala set several records, including becoming the youngest goalscorer in the club's history and scoring in seven consecutive matches.
Palermo
On April 29, 2012, Dybala signed a contract with Palermo, an Italian club. However, the announcement was later denied by a representative of Instituto. On July 20, Dybala officially signed a four-year contract with Palermo. On September 2, he made his Serie A debut in a match against Lazio, and on November 11, he scored his first goals for the club in a match against Sampdoria, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Palermo's history.
Juventus
On June 4, 2015, Dybala transferred to Juventus, signing a five-year contract. He made his debut for the club on August 8 in the Italian Super Cup match against Lazio, where he scored his first goal for Juventus. He continued to impress, scoring goals in Serie A matches against Udinese, Roma, and Chievo. In 2016, Dybala won the Serie A title with Juventus and finished the season as the club's top goalscorer with 19 goals in 34 matches.
In the UEFA Champions League matches against Dinamo Zagreb and Porto, Dybala scored important goals and also scored a brace in the home leg of the quarter-finals against Barcelona. In April, Dybala extended his contract with Juventus until 2022. He became the second highest-paid player in Serie A, earning 7 million euros per year. In the same year, Dybala won his second Serie A title with Juventus. In the 2017/18 season, he was given the number 10 jersey. He scored his first hat-trick for Juventus in a match against Genoa and became the first player in 12 years to score in the first four rounds of Serie A.
International Career
In 2011, Dybala was included in the extended squad of the Argentine national team for the Pan American Games, but he did not make the final squad. On October 14, 2015, he made his debut for the senior Argentine national team in a World Cup qualifier against Paraguay, replacing Carlos Tevez in the second half.
