Artem Ivanov: A Multifaceted Musical Artist
Artem Ivanov is an enigmatic figure in the Ukrainian and Russian music scene. More than just a vocalist, he is a composer, arranger, and producer who has written and performed hits that have soared to the top of charts across both countries.
Childhood and Early Life
Artem Ivanov was born in the Ukrainian city of Cherkasy in January 1986. His father's Finnish heritage and his mother's Ukrainian, Roma, and Moldovan roots have infused him with a vibrant and diverse personality. Ivanov attributes his gregarious and energetic nature to his mixed ancestry.
From a young age, Ivanov displayed a passion for music and attended a music school, where he studied piano. While he was often invited to join the school's choir, Ivanov dedicated most of his time to pursuing a future in mathematics.
Musical Journey
Ivanov's desire to sing led him to audition for the 7th season of the reality TV show "Fabrika Zvyozd" ("Star Factory"). The show proved to be a turning point in his life. After much hesitation, he joined the popular group "Yin-Yang" under the guidance of producer Konstantin Meladze.
With "Yin-Yang," Ivanov found success with hit songs such as "Malo-po-malu" ("Slowly, Slowly"), "Sokhrani Menya" ("Save Me"), and "Karma." The band's most iconic song, "Pofig" ("I Don't Care"), gained widespread recognition and became a popular mobile ringtone.
In addition to his work with "Yin-Yang," Ivanov has collaborated with renowned Ukrainian artists such as Vitaly Kozlovsky, Masha Fokina, and the group "NeAnGely." He has also gained recognition for his songwriting abilities, penning hits like "Paren" ("Boy") for Svetlana Loboda.
In 2017, Ivanov competed in the "Novaya Volna - 2017" international music festival in Sochi, Russia, representing Ukraine. Despite not placing among the top three, he showcased his vocal versatility and left a lasting impression on the audience.
Personal Life
Ivanov's personal life has been marked by both joy and challenges. He met his wife, Tatyana Bogacheva, on the set of "Fabrika Zvyozd." After a period of courtship, they married and welcomed a daughter, Mirra, in 2016. However, in 2019, Ivanov announced their divorce.
