Biography of Artem Kravets

Artem Kravets is a Ukrainian footballer who plays as a forward for Dynamo Kyiv. He began his football career in his hometown of Dniprodzerzhynsk at the Youth Sports School "Nadiya", where he was coached by Dmitry Loik. Kravets then moved to the Dynamo Kyiv Football School, where he played for FK "Otradny" and Dynamo Kyiv in the Youth Premier League.

Kravets made his debut for Dynamo Kyiv-2 and the reserve team in the 2006-2007 season (his debut for Dynamo Kyiv-2 was on April 20, 2006, in a match against FC Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk). He made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on June 17, 2007, as a substitute in the final round match against Arsenal Kyiv. When Russian coach Yuri Semin took over as the head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, Kravets became a regular in the starting lineup. On March 2, 2008, he scored his first goal in the Ukrainian Premier League in a match against FC Dnipro in the 19th round of the 2007-2008 season.

In the second leg of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 on February 26, 2009, against Valencia, Kravets scored a brace, helping Dynamo Kyiv advance to the next round (with an aggregate score of 1-1, 2-2). He has represented the Ukrainian national team at the under-17 and under-19 levels, playing 7 matches (scoring 1 goal) and 10 matches (scoring 4 goals) respectively. Kravets was also named the Best Midfielder of the 2007 Granatkin Memorial tournament.

Kravets was called up to the senior Ukrainian national team by Alexei Mikhailichenko for a friendly match against Serbia on March 26, 2008, but he did not play due to an injury sustained before the match. He won the First Channel Cup in 2008 and was a silver medalist in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 2007/08 season. He also reached the final of the Ukrainian Cup in the 2007/08 season and won the Ukrainian Premier League title in the 2008/09 season.
