Biography of Artem Movsesyan

Artem Zhorayevich Movsesyan was born in 1967 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR. He is an Armenian political figure and currently serves as the head of the Civil Aviation Administration under the Armenian government.


From 1985 to 1990, Movsesyan studied cybernetics and electronic equipment development at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

Early Career

From 1994 to 1998, he worked as a lawyer in the legal department of the Yerevan State University. During this time, Movsesyan also served as a delegate of the Arabkir Community Council from 1990 to 1995.

Government Positions

In 1992 and 1993, Movsesyan worked as a key specialist in the central state commission for agrarian reforms under the Armenian government. From 1993 to 1996, he served as a key specialist in the tax service of Armenia. Movsesyan then became a member of the President of Armenia's office from 1996 to 1998.

Career in Election Committees

Movsesyan has also been involved in election committees in Armenia. He was a member of the Central Election Commission of Armenia from 1995 to 1999 and represented the chairman of the electoral commission in Yerevan from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, he served as a member of the electoral commission for District No. 6 from 2003 to 2004.

Head of Civil Aviation Administration

Since 2004, Movsesyan has held the position of Chief of the Civil Aviation Administration in Armenia.
