Biography of Asanali Ashimov
Asanali Ashimov was a renowned actor and director from the Kazakh SSR. He was born in the village of Baykadam in the Kazakh SSR. Ashimov completed his education at the Kurmangazy Kazakh State Conservatory and the Theater and Art Institute in Alma-Ata in 1961.
Acting Career
In 1963, Ashimov began working as an actor and director at the M. Auezov Academic Drama Theater. He gained recognition for his talent and was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1980. Ashimov also held the title of People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR and was a laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR.
