Early Life and Military Service

In 1944, Asrian's career took an extraordinary turn with his appointment as commander of a medium tank in the 7th Separate Guards Tank Brigade. As the tide of war shifted, he spearheaded the brigade's involvement in the Svirsko-Petrozavodsk and Petrozavodsk-Kirkenes offensive operations.

On October 14, 1944, Asrian's indomitable courage was etched into the annals of history. In the fierce fighting for Petrozavodsk, his tank became a bastion of defense, decimating enemy forces. Despite sustaining severe injuries, Asrian, with unwavering tenacity, continued the battle, inspiring his comrades to victory.
Hero of the Soviet Union
Asrian's bravery earned him the highest honor of the Soviet Union: the Hero of the Soviet Union. On November 2, 1944, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet bestowed upon him the prestigious Gold Star Medal, recognizing his unparalleled heroism in the face of adversity.
Post-War Service and Legacy
After the war, Asrian remained in the military, serving in various tank units. He became a member of the Communist Party in 1945 and continued to distinguish himself with honorable service. Asrian retired from active duty in 1969 and passed away in Kyiv on October 7, 1992.
