Biography of Atlantica

Formation and Style

Atlantica is a Belarusian duo known for their songs "Strangers" and "Behind the destiny," which have reached high positions in the charts. The group was formed in 2003 and their style is closely related to Depeche Mode and European pop, with English lyrics and a sound reminiscent of 80s Eurodisco.

Successes and Awards

In 2006, Atlantica was honored with the title of Best Pop Performer and achieved the second place in the Best Performer category in 2005. Their album, which was completed in February, was recorded not only in Minsk but also in Moscow and London. The dedication to finishing the album led to the cancellation of nine concerts earlier this year.

The Meaning behind the Name

According to Alex (A.), one half of Atlantica, the name represents their spiritual connection to the ocean. The Atlantic Ocean is wild and unpredictable, encompassing both calm and storms. Atlantica is drawn to this ever-changing nature, which reflects their own artistic journey.
