Early Life and Education

Born into a humble background, Armenian political and state figure embarked on his academic journey at Secondary School No. 63 in Yerevan, graduating in 1965.

Industrial Experience and Academic Pursuits

Simultaneously with his studies at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute from 1965 to 1971, he gained valuable hands-on experience as a locksmith at the "Armpromtsvetmet" trust.

Steady Rise in Industrial Leadership

From 1972 to 1977, he assumed leadership roles at the "Astro" association, rising from Senior Engineer-Technologist to Leading Specialist-Designer of Precision Constructions to Head of Workshop. His exceptional abilities led him to become the Production Manager of the "Orbita" plant and later Deputy Chief Engineer.

Industrial Success and Ministerial Appointment

As Director of the "Orbita" plant from 1990 to 1998, he steered the company to success. His expertise and dedication culminated in his appointment as Minister of Trade and Industry of Armenia from 1998 to 1999.
