Barbara Bui: A Talented French Fashion Designer
Barbara Bui, a talented French fashion designer, opened her first full-fledged boutique in Russia in March 2007. Located in Moscow, near the famous Mariella Burani boutique on the first line of the GUM, Barbara Bui's store was a sensation. The French fashion star personally attended the opening event.
The Beginnings of Barbara Bui
Barbara Bui embarked on her journey in the world of high fashion in 1983. Despite her education in philology, she abandoned literature to pursue her passion for design. She opened her own atelier on rue Turbigo in Paris. Four years later, the brand "Barbara Bui" was born, thanks to the fashion show of her first collection, which was a hit among her atelier's regular visitors and the press. Just a year after that, Barbara opened her first boutique, which quickly gained fame beyond the borders of her native France. Her designs captivated women all over Europe, combining unparalleled elegance with a trendy rock and roll vibe. Wearing Barbara Bui's creations made women feel free, independent, and confident.
The Expansion and Success
In 1998, Barbara Bui launched a separate line called "Initials Barbara Bui," featuring modern, unisex-style trousers that were simultaneously feminine and romantic. Notably, the line's tulle tank tops became its trademark. With Europe conquered, Barbara Bui set her sights on making her brand popular in the United States. In 1998, she hosted her first successful fashion show in New York City. As a result, "Barbara Bui" boutiques opened in fashion capitals all over the world.
Continued Success and Expansion
In 2000, a plethora of successful advertising campaigns further solidified the recognition of the "Barbara Bui" brand. The House of Barbara Bui actively developed a new image. That same year, the designer released a collection of accessories, including bags and shoes, which, like her clothing collections, stood out for their uniqueness and unparalleled style. In 2003, Barbara Bui became a member of the "Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode" and began shining on the runways during Paris Fashion Week. Previously, Barbara had only showcased her collections through photographs, not on the catwalk. During this time, she also launched another clothing line called "Bui," which embodied both elegance and everyday wear.
Other Ventures
In 2004, Barbara Bui introduced her unique fragrance, "Barbara Bui Le Parfum," housed in a transparent bottle. In addition to her numerous achievements in the world of high fashion, Barbara Bui personally participated in the creation of a café near her boutique on Etienne Marcel Street in Paris.
