Early Life and Club Career

Bartolomé Colombo, an Argentine footballer, was a renowned left-back who graced the fields of several prominent clubs. Born in Argentina, he began his professional career with Argentinos Juniors before moving on to play for San Lorenzo, Atlanta Argentinos, Gimnasia y Esgrima, and Almagro.

San Lorenzo Era

Colombo's most successful years were spent with San Lorenzo, where he made his debut on April 11, 1937, in a match against Racing. Over the next decade, he became a mainstay in the team, making a total of 236 appearances. His contributions were instrumental in San Lorenzo's triumph in the 1946 Argentine Primera División championship.

International Career

Colombo represented the Argentine national team 17 times. He was a pivotal member of the squad that participated in three South American Championships, emerging victorious in two of them. In 1937, he made only two appearances as a substitute in games against Peru and Uruguay. In 1941, he played two matches out of the four played by the team. However, in 1945, he was a key player, featuring in all six matches.
