Early Career and Manchester United YearsBorn and raised in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, Christopher Matthew Eagles began his footballing journey at Watford's academy. In 1998, at the age of 14, he joined the renowned Manchester United Youth System. Eagles rose through the ranks, making his debut for the senior squad in 2003 against Leeds United in the League Cup. His subsequent appearances for United, including a memorable substitute appearance for Cristiano Ronaldo, showcased his attacking prowess.
Loan Spells and Sheffield Wednesday Breakthrough
Seeking regular playing time, Eagles spent the 2004-05 season on loan at Watford, scoring once in 13 appearances. He then joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan and netted Sheffield's first goal against rivals Leeds United. Eagles returned to Watford on loan in 2006, making his Championship debut with a stunning goal against Stock City.
Return to Manchester United and Premier League Debut
After a brief stint at Dutch club NEC, Eagles rejoined Manchester United in 2006. He featured sporadically for the Red Devils but made a lasting impact. In a Premier League match against Everton in 2007, he scored his first goal for United, a crucial strike in a 4-2 victory.

At Burnley, Eagles played a key role in the club's promotion to the Premier League in 2009. After leaving Burnley in 2014, he had stints at several clubs before joining League Two side Accrington Stanley in 2019.
