Beatrice Arthur, born on May 13, 1922, in the United States, is a renowned American comedic actress and singer. She gained fame for her roles in popular films and television series. Beatrice Arthur is a stage name for the actress, whose real name is Bernice Frankel. She was born in New York and spent her childhood in Maryland. Her parents owned a clothing store and dedicated most of their free time to work.

After graduating from Blackstone College in Virginia, where she studied drama, Beatrice returned to New York and began working at the Cherry Lane Theatre. She quickly assimilated into the creative scene and became one of the brightest and most talented actresses in New York. After a while, she moved to Broadway, where she caught the attention of several well-known producers. One of her debut works on the Broadway stage was the production of "Fiddler on the Roof" in 1964.

In 1972, Beatrice Arthur began working on television. She received an invitation to join the cast of the series "Maude" and portrayed the character of Maude Findlay, a wealthy and principled woman. In 1978, she had a supporting role in the film "Star Wars Holiday Special." In 1983, Beatrice had a small role in the comedy "Amanda."
