Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1980, Bennett Joseph "Ben" Savage is the son of Polish, Ukrainian, and Latvian Jewish immigrants. Inspired by his brother Fred, who starred in "The Wonder Years," Ben began his acting career at the young age of 5 with an appearance in a commercial.

His first significant role came at age 8 in the television series "Dear John." He went on to co-star with Fred in "The Wonder Years" and made memorable appearances in films such as "Little Monsters" and "Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even."

Breakthrough Role and Young Artist Awards
