Early Life and CareerBenik Abrahamyan was born on July 31, 1985, in Tbilisi, Georgia. He began his athletics career in 2007, specializing in shot put. Representing the Georgian national team, Abrahamyan quickly established himself as a top performer within his country.
International Debut and Olympic Participation
Abrahamyan made his international debut in 2007 and joined the Georgian national team in 2010. In that year, he competed in the European Team Championships Third League in Marseilles, placing sixth. He also participated in the 2011 European Indoor Championships in Paris, but failed to reach the final.
Olympic Career
Abrahamyan's exceptional performances earned him a spot at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In the preliminary qualifying round, he set a personal best of 18.72 meters, but did not advance to the final.
