Early Life and College CareerBernard King, an American professional basketball player, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he excelled as a forward. In 1977, King was drafted by the New York Nets with the seventh overall pick.
NBA Career
King embarked on a 14-season NBA career, playing for a total of six teams. He spent time with the Nets, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Washington Bullets, and New Jersey Nets. King quickly established himself as a prolific scorer, leading the league in points per game during the 1984-1985 season with an average of 32.9.

Throughout his career, King achieved numerous accolades. He was selected to four NBA All-Star Games and was named to the All-NBA Team four times, including First Team selections in 1984 and 1985.
