Jacques-Alain Miller is a noted French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who follows the teachings of Jacques Lacan.

Early Career

Initially working as a psychiatrist at the Drancy clinic, Miller simultaneously accepted patients at his private practice on Rue Paradis. In 2007, he retired from psychiatry and became fully dedicated to psychoanalysis.

International Recognition

From 2003 to 2006, Miller served as Secretary and President of the International Lacanian Association. Since 2006, he has held the position of Vice-President of the Association for International Affairs.

Collaboration and Publications

In collaboration with Roman Chemmama, Miller edited the widely acclaimed "Dictionary of Psychoanalysis" (2005). This seminal work has since gone through four editions and is recognized globally as a comprehensive resource in the field.
