Beth attended high school in the suburb of Fox Chapel and went on to study English literature at the University of Pittsburgh. During her time in college, she was a member of the women's student society, Delta Delta Delta. Beth had been a professional model since her high school years. In the early 2000s, Beth moved from Pittsburgh to New York City. She soon signed contracts with several fashion houses and landed small film roles and television commercials. Beth became affiliated with the Boston and New York divisions of the modeling agency, Click Models. Her photos graced the covers of magazines such as FHM, Steppin' Out, Razor, Hamptons, and Whirl. Beth also posed for calendars, particularly gaining popularity for her swimsuit shoots. She was consistently recognized as one of the sexiest women in various polls and rankings.

On the reality show "True Beauty," Beth shared a story from the beginning of her New York career. She recounted an incident where she arrived at a casting to find the elevator filled with tall, blonde, leggy women who were her competition. One of the competitors forcefully pushed Beth out of the elevator, causing her to fall and break her nose. Despite the setback, Beth learned an important lesson about the modeling industry and the importance of inner beauty.
Beth's first notable role came in the art-house comedy "Flirting with Disaster" alongside Ben Stiller, in which she played Stiller's character's presumed biological parents' daughter. She later had a more substantial role in the film "Whipped" with Amanda Peet and appeared in several television shows.
Beth met Howard Stern, the notorious radio personality, at a dinner party. The news of their relationship shocked the public in 2000. After openly expressing his intentions to marry Beth, Stern proposed to her on Valentine's Day in 2007 with a 5.2-carat diamond ring. They got married on October 2, 2008, at the New York restaurant "Le Cirque," and Beth changed her last name to Ostrosky-Stern. The wedding, attended by numerous celebrities, was a grand affair.
Beth is a proud owner of an English Bulldog named Belunca. She released her book "Oh My Dog" in May 2010. Beth and Howard built a home in the Hamptons, a place they both love.
