Inception of "BEZDNA": Zhenya Dubeshko's Vision
In the twilight of his high school days, Zhenya Dubeshko sought a band to channel his musical aspirations. Disillusioned by the mediocrity of existing groups, he embarked on a mission to create his own, one that would truly resonate with his soul.
Naming the Abyss: "BEZDNA"
The band's name went through a kaleidoscopic array of iterations: "Paradox," "No Anget," "Something," and so on. Zhenya finally settled on "BEZDNA," a philosophically enigmatic term that evoked the uncharted, the alluringly dangerous, and the infinitely vast.
Assembling the Team: A Search for Kinship
Zhenya auditioned countless musicians, panning for gold amidst the masses. In the summer of 2001, a glimmer of hope emerged when he encountered drummer Alexei Kovaleivich. Together with two other players, they immersed themselves in rehearsals.
The Maiden Voyage: December 8, 2001
The band took their first tentative steps on stage at the Radio Engineering College on December 8, 2001. Shortly after this pivotal moment, the group's bassist departed, creating a void that was filled by Alexander "Vadim" in March 2002.
Ascending the Stages: Live Performances
Building their repertoire, BEZDNA became a fixture on the Minsk club scene, gracing venues such as Reactor, NC, Safari, and Tunnel. Their first out-of-town concert, held in Orsha in July 2003, marked a significant milestone, bringing them their first earnings.
Meeting the Maestro: Andrei Zhlobo
fate smiled upon BEZDNA during a performance at Safari. Andrei Zhlobo, who had initially served as the band's website administrator, impressed them with his charisma and became their director in October 2003.
The Ukrainian Odyssey: Festivals and Camaraderie
BEZDNA embarked on a whirlwind tour of Ukraine, performing at the "Pike Vests" festival in Odessa and the "Premiere-2003" festival in Kherson. This journey strengthened their bonds and solidified their identity as a close-knit family, celebrating every milestone together.
A Legacy Yet Unwritten
BEZDNA continues to forge its path, leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape. Their journey is far from over, and the chapters yet to be written hold the promise of untold adventures and accomplishments.
