Biography of Bobby Reynolds

Bobby Reynolds was born on July 17, 1982, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. His father, Robert Reynolds, was a pilot, and his mother, Joyce Reynolds, was a tennis instructor. Bobby grew up with an older sister, Debbie, and a younger brother, Michael, who is currently studying in medical school.

Reynolds attended Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, specializing in business management. During his time at the university, he played for the Vanderbilt Commodores in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men's Tennis Championship. In 2003, he led the team to the final and was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He defeated Amer Delic from Illinois in the final match. Reynolds also finished the season as the top-ranked player in the national singles ranking.

In 2003, Reynolds turned professional and began his tennis career. He has a height of 183 cm, weighs 77 kg, and is right-handed. He has been coached by former professional tennis player David Drew since he was 11 years old. Reynolds prefers playing on hard courts.

Throughout his professional career, Reynolds has earned a total prize money of $1,183,295. He achieved his career-high ranking of 63 on February 2, 2009. As of July 4, 2011, he was ranked as the 125th player in the world.

In his singles career, Reynolds reached the third round of the Australian Open in 2005, defeating Nicolas Almagro and Andrei Pavel before losing to Rafael Nadal. He also secured one doubles title, which he won on July 24, 2006, at the tournament in Indianapolis. His partner in the event was fellow American Andy Roddick. They defeated Paul Goldstein and Jim Thomas in straight sets.

Outside of tennis, Reynolds enjoys playing cards, golfing, and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. He left Vanderbilt University in 2003 to pursue his professional tennis career.
