Bogusław Linda is a Polish actor and director who gained popularity in the 1980s. He was born in Toruń, Poland in 1952. Linda graduated from the Theatre School in Krakow in 1974 and began his career performing at the Old Theatre in Krakow and later at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław.

In 1977, Linda made his debut on screen with a small role in the film "Dagny". However, his breakthrough came with significant roles in political dramas such as "Fever" (1980) directed by A. Holland, where he played the anarchist Gryziak, and "Danton" (1982) directed by A. Wajda, where he portrayed Saint-Just. These performances established Linda as one of the most popular actors of his generation.

Unfortunately, during the period of martial law in Poland, many films featuring Linda were banned by censorship, causing his name to disappear from the credits of Polish movies for a long time. It was not until 1987 that his career took a turn with the release of films like "Blind Chance" directed by K. Kieślowski, "Mother of Kings" directed by J. Zaorski, "A Lonely Woman" directed by A. Holland, and "Magnate" directed by F. Bajon.

Throughout the 1990s, Linda actively worked in Poland as well as in Hungary and Denmark. He became known for his portrayal of negative characters, often gangsters, police officers, businessmen, and psychologically vulnerable individuals. Some of his most famous films from this period include "Krol" (1991), "Sauna" and "Pigs" (1992), "The Private City" (1993), and "Pigs 2" (1995). However, he also took on a lyrical role in the film "Dad" (1995).

In addition to his acting career, Linda made his directorial debut in 1990 with the film "The Seychelles," which explores the fate of the new "lost generation" in contemporary Poland. He continued to direct films such as "Shaman" (1996) and "The Bodyguard for My Daughter" (1997).

In 2000, Linda starred in "Pan Tadeusz," a film adaptation of Adam Mickiewicz's epic poem, which became one of the highest-grossing Polish films of all time.

Bogusław Linda's talent and versatility as an actor have made him a prominent figure in Polish cinema. His performances continue to captivate audiences both in Poland and internationally.
