Early Life and Career
Boris Deitch was born in 1938 in Simferopol, Crimea. He began his working life as a tailor in 1955 and served in the Soviet Army from 1957 to 1960. After completing his military service, he held various positions in the retail and hospitality industries in Crimea.
Political Career in Crimea
In 1991, Deitch was elected as a deputy to the Supreme Council of Crimea, serving in various capacities until becoming Chairman of the Council in 2002. He held this position until 2006.
Ukrainian Parliamentary Career
In 2006, Deitch was elected to the Ukrainian Parliament as a member of the Party of Regions. He served on several committees, including the Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports, and Tourism, and the Committee on Ecological Policy, Nature Management, and Liquidation of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Catastrophe.
Referendum and Annexation of Crimea
In 2014, Deitch voted in favor of Crimea's annexation by the Russian Federation in a referendum. He subsequently resigned from his position as a Ukrainian Parliament member, but his resignation was not officially accepted. He remained a deputy until the end of the 7th convocation of the Parliament in November 2014.

Personal Life
Deitch was married to Zhanna Leonidovna (née Khavrienko), who passed away in 2014. They had two sons, Sergei (born 1961) and Vladimir (born 1968), who are both entrepreneurs.
