Early Life and Military Education

Born on July 12, 1919, the renowned Lieutenant General of Aviation embarked on a distinguished military career. In 1936, he enrolled in the Kachin Military Aviation Pilot School. Upon graduation in 1938, he served with the Lyubertsy Fighter Division.

Combat Experience in World War II

During the Winter War of 1939-1940, he saw action against the Finns. From 1941 to 1945, he fought valiantly on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. He made 392 successful combat sorties, including 60 bombing missions and 70 attacks on enemy troops. In aerial combat, he shot down nine enemy aircraft.

Post-War Career

Following the war, he commanded an aviation regiment and a division. In 1959, he graduated from the General Staff Military Academy. He served as the head of the Kachin Military Aviation Pilot School from 1960 to 1961.

Rise to Prominence

From 1962 to 1965, he served as the deputy commander of the 1st Air Army. In 1965, he assumed command of the 4th Air Army, a position he held until 1971. In 1966, he was awarded the prestigious title of "Honored Military Pilot of the USSR."

Commanding Role in Czechoslovakia

In 1968, he led the army during the invasion of Czechoslovakia. From 1971 to 1976, he served as the head of the Command Faculty of the Air Force Academy.

Military Decorations

Throughout his illustrious career, he received numerous awards, including seven Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Orders of the Patriotic War 1st and 2nd class, two Orders of the Red Star, and the Order "For Service to the Fatherland in the Armed Forces" 3rd class.

Current Residence

Currently, the Lieutenant General of Aviation resides in Lyubertsy, Moscow Oblast.
